Every once in a while it’s great to hear something that might stretch your pre-conceived notions — something that contains the essence of some truth that resonates with the Spirit of Christ. In these three TedTalks we are stretched, challenged, and enlightened. These are three TedTalks every Christian should watch.
1. Simon Sinek: How Great Leaders Inspire Action
Sinek’s message is that the best organizations (and people) place the highest priority on understanding why they do what they do. The “why” is what drives people to work above and beyond the call of duty. Every Christian should know the “why” of his or her life.
2. Ann Lamott: 12 Truths I Learned from Life and Writing
Ann Lamott’s self-deprecating humor and brutally honest insight give weight and wisdom to these twelve truths she has learned on the journey. Some are hilarious, some are sobering, all are wise.
3. Megan Phelps-Roper: Why I Left Westboro Baptist Church
A moving and courageous testimony of a young lady who was raised from infancy in one of the most famous hate groups of the early 21st century. A powerful story of spiritual awaking and the courageous journey to truth. It’s worth watching just for her four principles for constructive dialogue.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on these and any suggestions you have for other TedTalks to watch!
